Superior Training, Great Competition
and Excellent Destinations!

THURSDAY               DAY 1           Depart USA
The tour begins with a late afternoon airline check–in.  Afterwards you will board your overnight flight on Virgin Atlantic Airlines, a scheduled airline (not a charter). Dinner, snacks, and breakfast will be served before landing in London and Virgin Atlantic provides a fantastic personal entertainment system to each passenger.  It's a fun flight!  (D)

FRIDAY                     DAY 2           Windsor, England
This morning you arrive in England. You’ll view the English countryside as you tour with your new teammates by private chartered bus to the famous village of Windsor – famous for Eton College, where Prince William & Henry went to school as well as home to Windsor Castle – residence of the royal family. You’ll visit Windsor castle and explore it inside and out.  Then you’re off to your accommodations for the next three nights at Portsmouth University in the south of England.  After check–in you will have a team meeting and time to relax before dinner.  After dinner you’ll have your first hockey training session by our English coaching staff.  (B&D)

SATURDAY               DAY 3           Portsmouth, England
After breakfast you’ll have another training session with our British coaches before afternoon matches with a local British squad.  Factoid: Portsmouth has the highest number of Astroturf fields in all of the United Kingdom.  (B,L&D)

SUNDAY                    DAY 4           Portsmouth, England
This morning you have your third training session, followed by afternoon matches with a British team. Tonight you and your teammates take some time to enjoy the local seaside boardwalk and carnival like atmosphere.   (B,L&D)

MONDAY                   DAY 5            Brugge, Belgium
You leave early this morning and tour the English coast where you board the “fast ferry” for crossing to Calais, France – traveling on to the city of Brugge – in Belgium.  Brugge is a fairy tale mixture of gabled medieval-style buildings, meandering canals, narrow cobblestone streets, and a populace intent on providing a gracious and warm welcome. Gabled buildings literally dripping with ornamentation and statuary surround the village center and cobblestone square.  Experience the sights and sounds of this extraordinary city - and of course you'll want to taste the famous Belgium chocolates and Belgium waffles!  Tonight you'll be taken to your accommodations - a four star hotel next to our training facility – where you’ll have dinner and await tomorrows first day of Dutch Training Camp.  (B&D)

TUESDAY                  DAY 6           Dutch Training Camp, Holland
What you've been waiting for - Today you start TOP Dutch Training Camp with Thomas Tichelman’s SportWays staff, exclusive camp providers to the European Hockey Federation and FIH Master Coach.  US players and coaches tell us this camp is absolutely the ultimate experience for both field hockey athletes and coaches alike.  Simply the Best!   (B&L)

This is a brief overview and the itinerary is subject to change. Each day is filled with events and group activities arranged by the coaching staff and Tour Director. EuroTour is a balanced program of athletics and fun in which we emphasize a top hockey technical program and allow for free time to shop, rest, and sightsee. Each player will be given equal playing time to fully maximize their field hockey experience.

EuroTour is a USFHA Partner camp. Our technical program is designed by Thomas Tichelman, FIH World Coach and exclusive camp provider to the European Hockey Federation.

"I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to join Euro tour from the other side. The 13 day experience you provide continues to enlighten and inspire me. I now have so much more to add to my coaching technique and appreciate so much of what the European model provides for this sport. You have given both players and coaches the ability to experience not just top level coaching and playing, but the ability to remind us all why we love this sport so much. I truly struggle to articulate how much I enjoyed this experience. I know you cannot plan the friendships formed, but I will remain in close touch with the coaches I have met on this tour. They are the best coaches with whom I have worked because they not only love and value the sport itself, but love and value the role of the coach; this is something in which few are gifted.
So I thank you a million times and hope that I can join the tour again."
